I’ve tried keeping notes in a lot of places. Obsidian, a Notion workspace I forgot the password to, a notes/ folder that lives on three different laptops. None of it survived more than a few months.
So this is attempt number four, except this time it’s public, which hopefully makes me a bit more careful about what I write.
What goes here
Mostly CTF writeups. I play rev, forensics and misc for the most part. I’ll post solutions after each competition ends, usually for the challenges I found interesting or got stuck on for an embarrassingly long time.
Some notes from writing challenges for RoCSC this year too. Being on the author side changes how you look at a binary.
And the occasional networking thing. I did the CCNA track in 2025 and there’s a lot of material I don’t want to re-learn from scratch.
What doesn’t
No tutorials on “how to get into cybersecurity”. There are enough of those. No tool roundups either.
If you spot a mistake in a writeup, email me. I’d rather fix it than have someone copy a wrong exploit.
